Vitality hackathon program

Recent research from the Mulier Institute has indicated that young people are less active in sports and exercise and that they are increasingly involved in, among other things, playing computer and video games (gaming). Sports organisations and municipalities have interest in improving physical activity.

The Program

An interesting research topic for sports organisations is how gaming can be used to stimulate young people to be more active in sports and exercise. This covers to an extend the topic about how public spaces can be improved to encourage residents to be more active in sports in exercise. Combining these topics into multi-disciplinary hackathons will encourage the sports leaders of tomorrow to develop these societal issues.
